Staying Hydrated
Dehydration is defined as the lack of adequate fluids for the body to carry on normal functions at an optimal level. Water accounts for approximately 55 to 60 percent of an adult's body weight. While a loss of 5 percent is considered mild, 10 percent may pose a significant health risk and a loss of 20 percent can result in death.
